St. Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick’s Day in Chicago is taken very seriously.  Parades, river-dyeing ceremonies, all day bar-hops, and green beer galore.  Since I moved here, I’ve had great intentions of making it down to the riverfront to watch the dyeing of the river.  This is the first year I’ve actually set an alarm and accomplished it.  It’s impressive to see how many people have already been to a few bars and are in the holiday spirit at 9 in the morning.  The riverfront is completely packed as people watch small boats drive in circles and turn the river emerald green.  Here’s what I have to say about it…  I came, I saw, and next year I’ll go back to sleeping in.

Fun Fact: The dye is actually orange.

Trump Tower. Just because.

Emerald Success.

Side note – don’t order an Irish car-bomb in Ireland.  I’ve heard they get pretty offended.
