Cusco, Peru

06Jun13

When I arrived in Cusco, the first words out of my mouth were “Cusco.  Is.  Awesome.”

The city is a little gem tucked away in the Urubamba Valley of the Andes.  The food is fantastic (save for the cuy, which I opted out of), the scenery is ridiculously beautiful, and the nightlife was a blast.  If you’re into the Inca’s (which I am, thanks to this experience), I highly highly HIGHLY recommend spending some quality time in Cusco and the Sacred Valley before making your way to the ever-so-glorious Machu Picchu.
