Allow me to preface – the entire city of Detroit does NOT look like this. Just most of it.
I kid, I kid.
For reasons unbeknownst to me, I have some strange fascination with urban decay. Decrepit and rotting buildings are just extra rad. I don’t want to set up shop and have friends over, but I do want to take pretty pictures of the nastiness. Thus, our 2nd annual trip to the Packard Plant… 3.5 million square feet of abandoned space; a symbol of the industrial decline of the Motor City. It’s not exactly the kind of place you’d see on a travel/vacation brochure, but if you like crumbling concrete sprawl and history, this is the place for you.
