Packard Plant

Allow me to preface – the entire city of Detroit does NOT look like this.  Just most of it.

I kid, I kid.

For reasons unbeknownst to me, I have some strange fascination with urban decay.  Decrepit and rotting buildings are just extra rad.  I don’t want to set up shop and have friends over, but I do want to take pretty pictures of the nastiness.  Thus, our 2nd annual trip to the Packard Plant…  3.5 million square feet of abandoned space; a symbol of the industrial decline of the Motor City.  It’s not exactly the kind of place you’d see on a travel/vacation brochure, but if you like crumbling concrete sprawl and history, this is the place for you.
