Fun with Architecture

12Jul11

Over 4th of July weekend, I hosted a friend who had never been to Chicago before.  So I did what all good friends do and played tourist alongside him.  We went to a Cubs game, perused the Magnificent Mile, checked out our reflections in the Millennium Park bean (there was nothing in my teeth), went to the top of the Sears Tower (which is approximately 364 Moni’s tall) and did the Chicago Architecture Foundation River Cruise.  Being a tourist in your own city helps you appreciate the awesomeness that surrounds you daily and in Chicago’s case, a lot of the awesomeness comes from the architecture.   In case you don’t believe me, just ask one of the thousands of people who try to walk around Chicago while looking up and pointing.  *shakes head*…   Such tourists.
