It’s Never Too Late!

10Oct10

One of my biggest regrets in life is not taking the opportunity to spend a semester abroad in undergrad.  I love to travel and I think exploring various countries and experiencing different cultures is the world’s (no pun intended) coolest idea.  I promised myself that if I ever went back to school that I would pursue a study abroad program.  Well…  I’m back in school, so  I applied for a short-term intersession course in China and Thailand.  Much to my delight, I was accepted!  I’ll be spending 15 days in Hong Kong, Bangkok and Ko Samet this December.   I’m thrilled to have the chance to make up for my undergrad oversight.   In honor of this news, I went to Chicago’s Chinatown to get some inspiration for my trip.   I’m just so stoked and grateful that I will be fulfiling one of my dreams.  I’m not gonna lie, studying abroad was a big motivator to go back to school… but I didn’t tell that to the admissions committee.  🙂   Enjoy the pictures and count on a TON of Asian-themed Monilogues upon my return!

P.S.  Big thanks to Keith and Kinga for the Chinatown tour!!

I can now truly appreciate a photographer’s talent. While in the Square, for a moment I was wondering why you were taking a picture of the tree, but now I see why. Great pictures!
